QR Codes Are Kind of Brilliant
That little square you scan at restaurants, stores and airports looks like random black-and-white noise. It isn't. A QR code stores information in a pattern that cameras can read extremely quickly. And because it includes error correction, it can still work even when part of the code is damaged or covered. That's why you can sometimes scan a QR code that looks absolutely terrible.
