Child safety standards

Noutez is a place to share ideas, and keeping children safe on it is not negotiable. This page sets out our standards, how to report a concern, and what we do about it.

Our standards

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). That includes child sexual abuse material, sexualised content involving anyone under 18, grooming, sextortion, and any attempt to ask for or share such material. All of it is prohibited on Noutez, as set out in our Terms of Service. Content or behaviour like this is removed immediately and the account is permanently banned.

Who can use Noutez

You must be at least 13 to create an account, and we ask every person to confirm this when they sign up. Noutez is not directed at children. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 13, we remove it.

How to report a concern

You can report from inside the Noutez app and on the website, without leaving it:

  • Use Report on any note, comment, collection or profile.
  • Use Report this answer under any AI-written answer.
  • Use Block on someone's profile to stop seeing them and stop them interacting with you.

You can also write to our child safety contact at support@noutez.com.

What we do about it

  • Our moderators review reports and can remove notes and collections and suspend or permanently remove accounts.
  • Where we find child sexual abuse material, or credible evidence of child exploitation, we preserve the relevant information and report it to the appropriate authorities, such as law enforcement and national child-protection agencies, as the law requires.
  • We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.

Photos and AI

  • Photos uploaded by members are checked automatically by an image-safety service before they're accepted.
  • AI answers on Noutez are limited to what a note says, are clearly marked as AI-written, and can be reported by anyone.

Compliance

We comply with the child-safety laws and regulations that apply to us.
