Sometimes Your Brain Just Wants an Answer
You know that feeling when you keep checking your phone because someone hasn't replied? Your brain starts creating explanations. “Did I say something wrong?” “Are they upset?” “Maybe they don't care anymore.” Sometimes nothing happened. You simply don't have enough information yet. Our brains hate uncertainty, so they fill the silence with stories.

Uncertainty can be surprisingly uncomfortable.
Someone doesn't reply, and suddenly your brain starts filling in the blanks.
Maybe they're upset.
Maybe you said something wrong.
Maybe they've lost interest.
The problem is that your brain doesn't always distinguish between a possibility and a fact.
Sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is pause and remind yourself:
“I don't actually know what's happening yet.”
Not knowing isn't the same as something being wrong.
